My Purpose and Goals

Through Ride For Refuge I am raising money for Engineering Ministries International (eMi), a non-profit Christian development organization mobilizing architects, engineers and other design professionals who donate their skills to help children and families around the world step out of poverty and into a world of hope.

My goal is to ride 200 miles in the month of October, culminating with a 30 mile bike ride with a team of friends and family. For that I would like to raise $1000. That's $5 for every mile I ride. The more you give the more I ride. Can you help me reach my goal? The deadline is October 31, so click the link below start supporting me now!

Road Trip!

This past weekend I took a road trip for a friends wedding in Wisconsin.  I stopped to see people in 4 states (Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin)  It was a great trip as I got to see a lot of family and friends that I haven't seen for a while and are all very special to me.  And of course I brought my bike along.  Unfortunately I was only able to ride once in Naperville, IL my hometown.  It was a very nice ride as I explored some of the bike trails I never knew existed despite living there for 14 years of my life.  And when I returned home my mom had a wonderful breakfast all ready for me to enjoy.  I am very blessed to have such wonderful family and friends!

Now to catch up with my riding...  Today I rode to work again and plan to ride tomorrow.  Then perhaps a birthday ride with some family on Friday. (My family will be visiting from Illinois and Tennessee just to celebrate my birthday)  It should be a great weekend.  Hope to get past the 100 mile mark this weekend.  You can also help me reach my goals by donating a few dollars!  Every little bit helps.
